We accept most

CDs and DVDs

If you have bought your CDs in a record store, you usually do not have to worry whether we will accept these CDs.

In general, all CDs and DVDs without scratches are eligible, as long as they come in the original jewel case with all cover art.

Complete cover art consists of the booklet in the front of the jewel case AND the play list in the back.

We can not use CDs if you have thrown away part of the cover art or the original jewel case.

We do NOT accept CDs which you have put in albums or case logic binders.

DVDs count like CDs (1 DVD = 1 CD).

We only accept DVDs with region code “1” (USA) or “all.”

CDs from music clubs such as BMG or Columbia House and punch-out’s count half.

We accept all genres and all periods, i.e. classical music, opera, jazz, classic rock, latin, pop, indie, alternative, trance, books on CD, spoken word, etc.

We also accept older CDs from the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Unacceptable CDs/DVDs:

1.             We do NOT accept CD singles or radio edits.

2.             We do NOT accept CDs that have been put in albums or case logic binders.

3.             We do NOT accept compilations, from stores such as Virgin Records, GAP, Victoria’s Secret, etc.  We do accept CDs issued by Time Warner or Starbucks.

4.             We don’t take CDs which have your initials written on the CD/Cover Art or bear labels or stickers.

5.             We do not take CDs that are stamped or labeled “Promotional” on the CD or the jacket.

6.             We do not accept bootleg CDs (“burns,” “mixes”).

7.             We do NOT take foreign language CDs if the title is written in a non-Latin alphabet, e.g. Greek, Russian, Korean, etc.

8.             We usually only accept one CD per title.

9.              We do not accept stock outs, bulk lots, or low-priced inventories from online merchants, liquidators, or wholesalers.

10.        We do not accept penny CDs, i.e. CDs where the market price for used items is in the pennies (below $1.00).

11.        We do not take adult, XXX-rated DVD’s.

12.        We do not return unacceptable items.

Condition

All CDs and DVDs have to be in mint condition, i.e. without scratches, marks, and stickers.

Broken or cracked jewel cases are not a problem as long as the CD and the cover art are in mint condition.

Box-sets

Box-sets containing more than one CD count depending on the number of CDs in the box-sets, i.e. a box-sets with four CDs inside counts as four CDs. We do NOT accept incomplete box-sets.
